Welcome to the Journey: Why You're Not Broken, Just Unheard

Welcome to the new Integrativedoc.net blog.
I'm starting this as a place to share a perspective on health that I’ve dedicated my career to—a perspective that I believe so many women are desperately searching for, with the understanding that a diagnosis does not define your destiny. You are more than ‘A Diagnosis!’
If you're here, you're likely feeling frustrated. You might be the woman who is doing "all the right things" but still feels exhausted, foggy, and stuck. You're the woman who knows something is wrong, but has been told your "labs are normal" and that you're "fine."
I want to tell you something from the bottom of my heart: You are not broken, and you are not imagining it. You are just unheard.
Our conventional model of medicine is wonderful for a crisis. But it often fails us when it comes to chronic, complex issues. It's set up to chase and manage symptoms, not to ask a simple, powerful question: Why?
That's what I want to share with you here. My philosophy, framed around ‘The 7 Keys Method©,’ is built on not chasing symptoms, but on understanding the interconnected journey that leads to them.
I share this image with almost all of my new patients because it's the map that explains how everything is connected.
Our Journey Always Starts with a Clue
So often, our journey starts with the Thyroid. This is your body's "check engine light." When you feel that unshakeable fatigue, the brain fog, the hair loss... that is your body's first, most obvious signal that something deeper is wrong. The problem is, most approaches just try to turn off the light instead of looking at the
engine.
We Follow the Clues to the Root
So, we ask why. Why is the thyroid struggling? The first place we look is the Adrenals. This is your stress and energy system. When you're "wired, tired, and overwhelmed," your body is in a constant state of "fight or flight." This stress floods your system, and your thyroid is often the first casualty. It can't function properly when your whole body is on high alert.
We See the Ripple Effect
From there, the story unfolds. This is what I call the ripple effect. That same stress doesn't just impact your thyroid.
Your body, in its wisdom, will always prioritize survival (making stress hormones) over functions like reproduction.
It "steals" the building blocks from your reproductive hormones to fuel the stress response. The result? What started
as a "stress" problem now looks like a "hormone" problem—severe PMS, cyclical imbalances, or PCOS. It's not three
different issues; it's one interconnected story.
The Destination: True, Integrative Holistic Balance
This is the entire reason I practice medicine the way I do. We aren't here to just patch symptoms. We are here to follow the map back to the root, using our 7 Keys Method™ as the guide.
Sometimes, the final step on that journey is restoring balance with Bio-identical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT). But we see this as the final, polishing step—the way to restore optimal wellness after we've healed the foundation.
You don't have to live in that "normal labs, but I feel awful" space forever.
This blog will be our place to explore each of these steps. It's a place for you to feel heard, validated, and empowered.
I'm so glad you're here. This is the start of a new conversation.
