Frequently Asked Questions

At Piedmont Integrative Medicine, PA we have made the intentional decision to be a "fee-for-service" Integrative Holistic medical practice. This means we work directly and solely for you, not for an insurance company.
This model is the key that unlocks our ability to provide the exceptional, personalized care you deserve.
The conventional insurance-based system is designed for high-volume "sick care." It limits physicians to 7-10 minute visits and restricts them to standard, one-size-fits-all treatments.
Our practice is fundamentally different.
We are focused on "health creation" and root-cause analysis. This requires time, advanced testing, and a level of personalization that insurance companies will not cover.
The Benefits of Our Model
1. We Work for YOU. Our recommendations are based only on what we believe is best for your health, not on what an insurance company will approve. This frees us to use advanced functional testing and innovative therapies to get to the root of your problem.
2. We Give You Our TIME. Your first visit is a 45-60 minute deep dive into your complete health history. Follow-up visits are 30-45 minutes long. This allows us to truly listen, connect the dots, and create a comprehensive plan. This is impossible in the 7-minute insurance model.
3. Full Transparency. You will always know the exact cost of your visits and labs upfront. There are no surprise bills, hidden co-pays, or fighting with a call center over a rejected claim. Your investment is clear, and so is our commitment to you.
-
Yes. While we do not bill insurance companies directly, we will provide you with a "superbill" (a detailed medical receipt) after your visit. You can submit this superbill to your insurance provider for potential out-of-network reimbursement.
We also encourage you to use your Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for all our services and recommended labs.
-
We accept Cash, Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express. We do accept Checks as a form of payment, once an established patient.
